Product Manager / Co-founder

Roadmaps that actually ship.

I’m Emmy Irtwange, a product manager who turns vision into roadmaps and roadmaps into launches: leading cross-functional teams, writing the PRDs, running the sprints and shipping MVPs across real estate, logistics, food and SaaS. Trained as an agricultural engineer; sharpened by years of field sales.

I turn rough ideas into shipped products.

Today I lead products end to end: discovery, roadmap, sprints, launch, iteration. I’ve taken a rental-payments platform from idea to implementation, launched a logistics MVP, and run a 17-person cross-functional team of engineers, designers, QA, DevOps and marketers through daily stand-ups to a shipped product.

My route into product wasn’t the usual one. I trained as an engineer and spent five years in operations and field sales before moving into product full-time, so I’m as comfortable in front of customers and stakeholders as I am inside a backlog. It taught me to plan carefully, show up daily and judge the work by results, not slide decks.

Seven products. Idea to launch. One habit: ship it.

Tap any project to open its case notes.

  1. A real-estate platform that makes rental payments and property management effortless for owners, managers and tenants. Led from ideation to successful implementation.

    What I owned

    • The product roadmap, aligned to business goals and stakeholder needs
    • Timelines, task assignment and agile rituals that kept milestones on schedule
    • Market research and competitor analysis shaping features and positioning

    Who I worked with

    • Product designers, frontend and backend developers
    • Sales associates and marketing, to match features to what landlords and property managers actually need

    What shipped

    • A commission-based rental payment system powering revenue
    • An onboarding flow for property managers and owners
  2. A logistics, cargo and freight platform that gets packages where they’re going, swiftly and securely. Taken from requirements to a launched MVP.

    What I owned

    • PRD and FRD documentation
    • Weekly stand-ups and time management that kept execution smooth
    • The GitHub backlog: issues, assignment, progress tracking and feature prioritisation

    How we learned

    • Qualitative research and usability testing with 30 participants
    • Brainstorming sessions and prototype iterations driven by research findings

    What shipped

    • An MVP, delivered and successfully launched
    • A pitch deck and operational manuals used in partnership and growth conversations
  3. An e-commerce platform that streamlines online shopping for food products, making fresh and diverse food more accessible. Co-built and launched.

    What I owned

    • The end-to-end product lifecycle: ideation, development, testing and launch
    • The product roadmap, prioritised on customer needs, business goals and market analysis

    How we delivered

    • Agile sprints, refined user stories and close oversight of task completion
    • Tight collaboration between designers, developers and business stakeholders

    What it led to

    • A launched platform serving food vendors and online shoppers
    • Iterative improvements from customer feedback and data, lifting usability and retention
  4. A delivery platform serving the food, e-commerce and pharmaceutical sectors, connecting customers with local restaurants, pharmacies and vendors.

    What I owned

    • Business development, market expansion and vendor partnerships
    • Go-to-market strategy, pricing and competitive analysis

    With the product team

    • Defined and prioritised features for delivery speed, user experience and customer satisfaction
    • Aligned features with merchant needs to improve onboarding

    Results

    • Partnerships with restaurants, pharmacies and supermarket vendors across Benue State
    • Growth in user acquisition and order volumes, driven by the go-to-market strategy
  5. A training platform where working professionals teach Africa’s next wave of tech talent through expert courses, hands-on projects and mentorship. Launched to a global audience.

    The problem

    • Budding tech professionals across Africa weren’t getting enough practical training. Many had never used the tools the industry actually runs on
    • We built a platform where practitioners from different roles in the industry train students hands-on, with learners joining from Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya

    What I did

    • As co-founder and Senior Product Manager, oversaw and managed the development of the platform
    • As PM Mentor, led the product management track: introduction to PM, a practical approach to PM, user-centric product design with Figma, and an AI approach to product management
    • Taught the working toolkit hands-on: Jira, ClickUp, Linear and GitHub for delivery; SurveyMonkey and Google Forms for research; Notion for documentation
    • Spearheaded the campus ambassador programme

    Outcome

    • Launched TalentsFactory to a global audience
    • Trained 20+ students in product management
    • Secured and managed partnerships with NYSC, AIESEC Nigeria, Enactus Nigeria and She Code Africa
  6. A virtual bingo game that builds team spirit for remote teams on Slack and Zoom. My capstone product at the HNG bootcamp, delivered with a cross-functional team of 17+ people.

    The team I led

    • Frontend and backend developers, QA testers, DevOps, a data analyst, video marketers and UI/UX designers
    • Daily stand-ups for alignment; weekly sessions to prioritise, unblock and celebrate wins
    • A Linear board for task assignment, tracking and project visibility

    What I wrote

    • PRD and FRD
    • Research survey and acceptance criteria
    • Business model canvas, unique value proposition and product-marketing strategy, with the team

    How it got better

    • Shaped the UI/UX of the key MVP mockups
    • Ran usability testing sessions and iterated the designs on the feedback
  7. A reusable codebase developers build on, with authentication, payments, subscriptions and more already wired in. A team project at the HNG bootcamp.

    The setup

    • Built during the HNG product management bootcamp
    • Worked alongside a team of 11 product managers to define the key features developers need out of the box

    What I wrote

    • Functional requirements document
    • Research survey and acceptance criteria

How I take a product from idea to launch.

  1. i.

    Discover

Discovery before delivery. Market and user research, competitor analysis, surveys and stakeholder conversations, so I’m solving a real pain point before anyone writes a ticket.

    Research · Strategy
  2. ii.

    Define

A roadmap tied to business goals. Clear PRDs and FRDs, user flows, acceptance criteria and honest prioritisation, so the team knows what matters this sprint, and what deliberately doesn’t.

    Roadmaps · Documentation
  3. iii.

    Deliver

Daily stand-ups, a visible board, fast unblocking. I keep designers, engineers, QA and stakeholders pulling the same way with open channels and steady reporting.

    Agile delivery · Leadership
  4. iv.

    Learn & iterate

Launch is the start of learning. Usability tests, customer feedback and data tell me what to improve next, and it all feeds the following cycle.
